Teddy Boy , C.p.

Located in the hub of Connaught place. Teddy boy new baby in C.P. has its name inspired from the Teddy Boy culture of UK.

 

Teddy boy is basically restro based bar which has exposed brick walls, leather sofas , wooden tables. The british flag is painted on a wall to give a feeling of British culture. Also the cushions are red, blue colour in order to give an experience of British culture. The music played is retro style classics. Just amazing and very different from the hip hop or flashy music. Priyank Sukhija told us why he kept this name because wealthy young men adopted the dressing style of the Edwardian era in the 1950s. So he liked the concept And came up with this unique idea.

The menu is fusionised with a Bengali and Oriya touch in the dishes.

Chef Doyel recommended Teddy Boy signature dishes that we should try. she was very cooperative when she got to know I am Vegetarian. She is awesome chef that will take this place to the

Heights.

DRINKS –

As summers have arrived, drinks are a must to keep yourself Hydrated.

I tried their signature mocktails , all were really good.

Teddy Boy serves a extravagant varieties of Bantas too. I always remember my childhood when we used to bantas to beat the heat of summers. The bantas are so refreshing. The masala and naarangi anar is a must. HIGHLY RECOMMNEDED.

I tried their shakes too, the shakes were not thick , they were sweet, they were average.

STARTERS –

1.Mexican Pani Puri with Tequila Shot:

A fusioned version of our indian version of Gol Gappas. – They were stuffed with guacamole and a sweet chutney was topped on it. They were served with a tequila shot. , different and unique dish one can’t find in any restaurant in delhi .

2.Potato Skin Salad – it was the best in veg. the potato skins were thin , fried , and not very oily. They were topped with chatpatta masala which gave the potato skin salad more flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3.Kasundi Skewers with Kasundi Mayo: The paneer was marinated in kasundi mustard margination which gave it a nice pungent taste, and was perfectly cooked. It was loaded in skewers and had grilled veggies in it.

4.Stuffed Tandoori Mushrooms: The mushrooms were fresh , stuffed with a lovely mixture of paneer and cheese. They were grilled nicely . and were little spicy . just loved it

5.Jhalmuri: The jhalmuri was fresh and light, and had a beautiful pungent flavour from the mustard oil, while the imli chutney topped was just amazing.

6.Salt Pepper Corn: They were Crunchy and spicy.Perfect balance of corn and chillies.

7.Paneer Tacos: Served in a miniature of Rickshaw . the concept is so amazing which lets you crave for the tacos more. The stuffing of Soft and spicy chunks of paneer was a veggie delight. The tacos were too good.

8.Kanda Pao: Kanda means ONIONS. The kanda was fried witth a besan batter. And was stuffed between buns. They were rispy and very tasty. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

9.Veg Dimsums: the skin was Thin, stuffing was lightly spiced and was too good.

10.Veg Flatbread: a rectangular shaped thin crust pizza . topped with fresh veggies ,loaded with loads of cheese and seasonings.

MAIN COURSE –

1. Baby corn Malai Curry: The dish had beetroot rice at the bottom and malai curry. A typical Bengali dish, had baby corn and soft cottage cheese cooked in spices and coconut milk.

2. Veg Manchurian served with fried rice – the gravy had chpped veggies. The Manchurian balls used were soft from inside and crispy . they were tasty . and the fried rice was nicely made.

DESSERTS –

1. Ferrero Rocher Golgappas: Golgappas stuffed with chocolate boondi served with strawbeery and wite chocolate dip sauce as “Golgappe ka paani”. Man, that was pure bliss.

2. Lava Cupcake: Cupcakes filled with liquid chocolate. The cupcakes were out of the world.

they were delicious.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE that serves some awesome fusion food and good drinks. Kudos to the fast service and some innovative dishes which I had never had before. But they do need to improve some dishes in order to be the best in DELHI.
