Voted for by over 100 of India’s top tastemakers and influencers, the property is a definitive list of the 50 finest premium restaurants in India with Indian Accent (New Delhi), The Bombay Canteen (Mumbai), The Table (Mumbai), Bomras (Goa), and Bukhara, ITC Maurya (New Delhi) emerging as the top 5 in the category

The Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards 2017 announced India’s first-ever definitive list of the country’s 50 finest premium restaurants. The judging panel included 100+ food writers, critics, influencers, serious foodies, and all-round tastemakers from across the country, key criteria being none of them own/co-own a restaurant in India.Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP were the process advisors and official tabulators for the Top Restaurant Awards, ensuring that the process was fair and the list authoritative and credible.

Hosted by hospitality sector veterans Rahul Akerkar and AD Singh, the first ever Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards saw Delhi and Mumbai take pole position with 10 winning restaurants in each, followed closely by Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa with 7 winning restaurants. Kolkata and Hyderabad with 3 restaurants each andJaipur, Kochi, Pune with 1 winning restaurant in each completed the list of 50.

Festive Pan Asian Pop Up by Chef Kuan at Tamra, Shangri-La's - Eros Hotel

Tamra, the award-winning multi-cuisine dining restaurant at Shangri-La’s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi brings to its patrons an authentic Pan Asian food pop-up. With the culinary skills of Chef Lai Kuan Geo and Sous Chef Whangeen, the festival is geared up to bring authentic Pan-Asian flavours from the diverse parts of Asia to the heart of Delhi as a part of their festive offerings.

Born and brought up in Malaysia, Chef Kuan has travelled to multiple continents showcasing his artistic expertise and learning from the cultural diversity the countries have to offer. His dishes are inspired by the countries he has travelled to such as Cape Town, Kuala Lampur, Thailand, Mauritius, Istanbul and Vietnam.

 

The festival offers a unique experience made with centuries-old traditional cooking practices meant to bring together highest quality ingredients and a blend of spices and give the traditional holiday feast an Asian twist.

 

The buffet menu is a palate-pleasing combination of global flavours, which makes Pan-Asian food a delight to savor.
